Curses and Baseball
Oct. 17th, 2003 08:14 amAhhh, the Yankees. You either love 'em or hate 'em. And even though I really really wanted Boston to not lose; there was no possible way that was going to happen.
And not just because of the curse.
But because they have no concept of situational hitting. How many times was there a guy on first with nobody out and the next guy either hits into a double play or the next 3 batters go swinging for the fence?
I bet Florida is wishing Dusty Baker took the All-Star game a little more seriously. Home field against New York would have given them a little bit of an edge.
But Dusty and the Cubs have their own curse to worry about.
