(no subject)

I have this idea for a "real" fic, but I have a question first.  It would be a romance ('cause what's the point otherwise),  and I was wondering if it's acceptable to hide the characters past from the reader?

I want the reader to know they've been involved and broken up, but I don't want to tell them why until later on in the story.  Just let certain information out slowly.

Is that fair?

taxes update

It seems I still have to do last-last years taxes by hand.  Poop. 

And, I need some wierd number from my non-existant 2002 return to do the RRSP part.
