So tell me, people, how did you find out about fandom? What are your early fandom memories? How'd you break in? Did anyone help you when you were new? When'd you first start getting notice?

Lets see...my earliest fandom memory is...wait for it...alt.tv.x-files. On university dumb terminals, back in the day before real webpages. Then there was ATXC when my sister introduced me to fanfiction, and it's been downhill ever since. Because of my lurking nature I didn't actually participate until I started vidding Buffy/Spike a couple of years ago.

Apparently, Canadians consume more Kraft Dinner (aka Kraft Macaroni & Cheese) per capita than any other nationality on earth. This factoid brought to you by An Americans Guide to Canada . I can't tell if it's supposed to be helpful or funny, but it's mostly just condescending to both parties.
