Sunday Rambling

Had the strangest dream last night where, among other things I got very mad at my sister because she was getting married and I didn't have any shoes so I went back to the hotel to get them. As I was walking back she drove up and told me it was all over and they didn't wait for me. Damn I was pissed. So I got back out of the car and wandered around, and wound up in a curling rink in Panoka.
But, in real life...
I was under the impression an optical mouse would work anywhere. But mine doesn't. Maybe it's the computer, or am I doing something wrong? Does it need a special something underneath it?
Played Country Mouse, City Mouse with the parental unit today (hee, still makes me laugh Jess), where mom and dad showed why it's best not to venture into the big city. I think it makes them crazy.
For about 2 hours on Thursday I thought we were going on vacation for the first week of November. Turns out, not so much. But, I found an awesome hotel package to Puerto Vallarta the first week of December. So all is well.
I had wonderful hopes for finishing my fic assignment this weekend; half done so far, and then I went back and actually READ the requirements and discovered there was some leniency on the rating. Very, very thankful.
