We're playing a fun game at my office this week. It's called Lets Go on Vacation and Let Tania do All of Our Work. Even my boss has gotten involved and thinks that I have telepathically acquired all of the skills needed to run the accounting department. I couldn't give a flying fuck about accounting. The only knowledge I need is I have a hundred bucks in my account and the shoes I want are eighty. I can open the mail, take the cheques and put them in the bank. That's it. If I wanted to know more, I wouldn't have gone to university for 7 years and studied rocks.
So we're supposed to get this really big order in today. The same really big order that was supposed to come in last week. But the only important part is that it be invoiced by the end of the month, "That's the 31st you know" As opposed to the other October that has 32 days. Couldn't figure that one out for myself.
I can do an invoice. It takes me 2 hours and I get it wrong every time, but I can still do it.
Our only other support guy is MIA this week. And the time change screwed up all of our installations on Windows 2000 and XP. Which I get to handle. By myself.
'kay. Ranting over.

As for the time change. The software that we make has a built in authorization scheme. Kind of like the one Microsoft uses for XP. It has all sorts of things that it checks for and the date/time stamp is one of them. Something is different between FAT32 and NTFS files systems, and we didn't account for it.
Fun times :) At least I know who's actually using the software.
