brand spanking new ep.
Sep. 25th, 2002 10:31 amFeeling unnaturally chatty today, probably has to do with getting stuck in an elevator this morning. And I have to go to the dentist, which is no fun 'cause I can't lie about the flossing I haven't been doing.
Thoughts about Buffy last night.....
On the whole I liked it. Looks like this season will be more upbeat and not so completely depressing. It was a touching first scene between Spike and Buffy. Everything she had seen up to that point was something she had killed (and they blamed her for it), then she see's Spike. Must have been going through her head that he was dead (gone) because of her. So she doesn't flinch when he touches her, and she's concerned about what's happened to him. All good things. And Joss wrote it, so it must be important to the season.
Got the distinct impression that both Xander and the new principal were crushing on Buffy. Ewww.
Picky stuff:
Opening credits - I'm beginning to think they lost (or don't have access to) the original copy of the credits. Since the move to UPN they haven't been re-worked, just scenes copy and pasted into the existing credits.
I'm glad Dru was in the last scene. But it doesn't fit the pattern of bad guys. (Won't call Willow a bad guy, 'cause heaven forbid). Yes, the practical me knows it's because there will be no cross-overs with Angel.
I would have walked off the lot if I was EC and they gave me that shirt to wear.
