Another Fanfic Meme
May. 5th, 2004 09:46 amPick five, or ten, or more, of your fic titles. List them in your journal and explain how you came up with each one. Post this prompt as well, so that the meme spreads.
Let's just preface this by saying I'm bad at titles. So what follows is possibly the lamest. meme. ever.
Aftershock:Since I'm a geologist, it was fitting my first multi-chapter story had a Earth Science title. And the story dealt with putting the pieces together after the shock of being betrayed.
Dirty Urges:: Stolen from a line in the show. Simple as that.
Ghost of Christmas Past: A Christmas story needs a christmas title. Yes, it's unimaginative, but it fit the story quite nicely.
Her Choice: This time blatently stolen from the WB ad campain for Dawson's Creek season 4.
Hours in Memory: The only title I have that's waiting for a fic that fits it (although I have one in mind). I was listening to "Soul of the Tango" and one of the titles was "Tres minutos con la realidad". Which might say Three minutes in reality. But three minutes is too short for a fic, and chaning reality to memory gives it a longing feel.
In the Eleventh Hour: The story was set during Veterans Day and I (surprise) couldn't think of a title, so I grabbed the "Dictionary of Phrases and Fables" that I use to squish bugs, and checked under the See Also for Veterans Day.
Premonition: The one title I always have to make sure it's spelled right before hitting send.
That Long Hot Summer: This time, I was reading the Dictionary of Phrase and Fables, and came across the entry for The Long Hot Summer. It was begging for a fic.
Wrong: 'twas the obvious theme of the story.
