Back from Vacation
May. 22nd, 2004 07:57 pmSeattle is a beautiful city. Actually, the entire state of Washington is georgeous. We had a great time; saw the Mariners win a game...which was nice, took in the sights (didn't like that trip up the Space Needle one bit, and the walking around the outside part was a big no) and then did a lot of shopping. In cool stores that you hear all about, but don't have at home.
The only downside was that it was a little crowded. And not in the people way, but there were hills and big leafy trees *everywhere*. I know it's because I'm from the prairies, but damn, I want to be able to see more than 20 feet on either side of me. You never know when there might be someone lying in wait...or a really good shop 2 blocks over.
Now I'm trying to wait patiently while all the season finale's download.

Date: 2004-05-23 10:22 pm (UTC)I've determined it's actually not the lack of sidewalks that stop me from walking places. It's the hills. I just spent the weekend in the Willamette valley, and it was flat, and I had no car to drive, and walked everywhere.
